South Bay Therapy is a group psychotherapy practice serving individuals, couples, adolescents and families in Redondo Beach and throughout the South Bay. The practice provides compassionate, individualized therapy for a wide range of emotional, relational and life challenges.

Michael Pearson, LMFT

Founder and Clinical Supervisor

Michael Pearson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the founder and clinical supervisor of South Bay Therapy. After many years of providing psychotherapy, Michael now focuses primarily on supervising the therapists in the practice and helping clients find a therapist who is a good fit for their needs.

Michael received his Bachelor’s degree from USC in Humanities, Drama and Cinema and his Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. He worked for four years with the Department of Mental Health in an adult outpatient clinic and for nine years with adolescents at Star View Adolescent Center, a locked psychiatric treatment program. He also provided counseling to college students at Glendale Community College and worked with children with emotional and developmental challenges, including autism and cognitive disabilities, at Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services.

Michael Pearson has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2007 (LMFT #44831).
